Image is on the shaky side, and the camera has a hard time locking into focus combined with being out of sync with the US lights leading to a constant flicker. A pity because it’s a strong performance by the original cast during the show’s ascent.

WILLOW'S TEA: This is one of the best Wicked captures out there. If you've never seen the show before, this is one you'll want. Willemijn had a following for a reason and they shine here. Her vocals are some of the best I've ever heard. She is just amazing in the role and deserves everything. Not my absolute favourite, but you can't go wrong with this boot.

WILLOW'S TEA: This might be the best wicked boot I've seen so far, my personal favourite. I just love the whole cast here. Also, it's just an amazing capture. Zooms and wides in all the right spots, not shaky, includes curtain call!!! I love curtain call so much. I also appreciate the playbill scans so much I wish more people would include those because it just adds to the experience.

NOTES: This is a vivid 4K video with almost no obstructions. Pretty much everything is centered, with beautiful zooms but also wider shots that showcase the dancing and set design. At times the video appears on an angle because my wrists are weak, but you don't miss anything because of it. There is also washout at times, but I do believe my camera handles the spotlights better than a lot of Wicked videos. All in all this is a gorgeous capture of old and new cast members... I'm not finished yet in this bootleg business but if I was this could be my magnum opus.

WILLOW'S TEA: I agree with the master's notes. This was an amazing performance by Laurel especially. Her riffs just made me happy, they were so lovely. Katie's a great Glinda as well. Truthfully I mostly listened to this while studying, but when I looked up to watch it the colours were gorgeous.

WILLOW'S TEA: one of my favourite Wicked boots. I just love Brittney's expressions, especially in the bubble. You can just see the inner turmoil oozing from her. If you're not a fan of close-ups, this isn't the boot for you, but as someone who had seen a lot of wide-shots and was craving a good close-up on G(a)linda this did it for me.

NOTES: A perfect capture of the current first national tour with some understudies. Emmy is a phenomenal Elphaba with great acting choices and amazing riffs. Very interesting to see a Fiyero mid-show switch; Kyle jumps in to act two seamlessly. One of my best captures with no blackouts, no washout, no obstruction, and very steady filming. This is shot slightly wider than usual, particularly when the ensemble is on stage, so you can see a lot more of the action. There are still close-ups when necessary. As usual, it’s filmed in 16:9, and the sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

If you've never seen the show before, I wouldn't recommend it as it does not capture a lot of the action and it is mainly blackout/top of stage shots. However if you're in it for the cast or just to get a better picture of the set if you've never seen it in person, this is highly recommended. The goodbye speeches are emotional.

NOTES: Very high quality, good zooms and close ups, minimal spotlight washout. There are a few blackouts during One Short Day, presumably due to ushers, but follows the action well.
WILLOW’S TEA: Well shot, super clear. The Elphaba was good but I’m unsure of the Glinda. She’s talented, but I didn’t like her performance. It’s probably because I’m used to the American Glinda’s and this one seemed a lot more uptight and in line with the small changed they made to how Glinda was portrayed.
