NOTES: Final performance! Filmed in 16:9 widescreen. Few obstructions. Only in the wide shots when there are two heads on either side of the frame, but the filmmaker does his/her best to shoot around them. External audio fed into video from the MD recorder, so audio is very clear. A mix of close-ups and wider shots when multiple people were on stage to see their interactions. This was a gut-wrenchingly sad performance. Most of the cast members were in tears at some point or another during the show. In particular, Stephanie was sobbing through "I Just Might" and Allison started sobbing at the end of "One of the Boys". A few minor ad-libs and mishaps. One being when Allison pulled out a tape measure during the urinals bit of "One of the Boys". The cast was sad but they were clearly trying to have the times of their lives and go out with a bang. And they fed off the audience energy which was insane and very supportive.

NOTES: Really beautiful shot in an intimate space. Lots of zooms, but a good amount of wider shots too with a very limited (almost nonexistent) amount of heads. The lighting in this theater really liked my camera and I know the show almost “by heart” so I think I followed the action as well as possible. My battery died during the last song, but it starts at the very beginning with only one drop out during dialogue.

WILLOW'S TEA: Okay, so let's be honest, this play was interesting. It was an interesting concept that was executed perfectly with amazing and imaginative choreography and blocking. however, it was boring. I got very bored and zoned out. It's a great story and a great listen and the visuals to bring the story to life, but it just wasn't gripping.

NOTES: Closing show! Or “rock concert” if you ask Christy Altomare. Yeah so this is a pretty obstructed video. Everyone was really excited so people were standing up, people were moving around, and honestly I had a little trouble paying attention to my viewfinder with all of the tears streaming down my face. Like Beetlejuice I would say it’s mostly like highlights, but all of the things that happen in the center part of the stage are captured really well and the video is DEFINITELY Christy centric. “Journey to the Past” is complete and gorgeous and you will cry. First act starts around when Anya meets Dmitry and the second act starts during “Crossing A Bridge.”

Pierce is perfect as McKinley. Tallia also does a great job; she has a strong belt and does an endearing rendition of Sal Tlay Ka Siti. This is a very nice capture with no obstruction or blackouts, and only a bit of washout in superwide shots of high-contrast scenes. The video is very steady and the sound is excellent as usual. It’s filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. Includes curtain calls.

We start at the scene before "Half Breed" and when Stephanie tells everyone to stand up for the finale it's all over for my filming ability.

WILLOW'S TEA: Adore this 110%. Great show, great cast, I love being Canadian, oh, and great capture. This has unique and interesting blocking and choreography and the movement and the way they integrated the charges to create airplanes, busses, cars and whatever else they needed was insane. It''s this intrinsic ride that feels like it never gets to stop. I heard Rachel Tucker say in an interview once they do their best to make sure no one has the time to clap in between songs to save the applause for the end and you can just see why. This play is oozing perfection. Everyone must watch it.

WILLOW'S TEA: Okay, let's be honest this is now one of my favourite musicals. It is so heartwarming. The songs are stuck in my head endlessly. I ship Klendez for sure, these two have crazy on-stage chemistry. Annaleigh was on fire. He and Mendez's Dogfight was outstanding, the way their voices blended together was great. Absolutely in love, I wish there were more videos of this show. Very happy to trade this out, I love sending it out into the world this is amazing. If I ever get a DVD burner this will be the first thing I burn.

NOTES: Great HD of the Year Two Broadway cast starting with the infamous ridiculous toffee scene. This was taken from one of the boxes so there is railing obstruction on the right of the stage, however most of the main action occurs at center and is brilliantly captured.

WILLOW'S TEA: Great capture. Missing about 15-20min of the first act. I've read the screenplay so that wasn't an issue for me, but can't say how others will find it. Capture the action best as possible, but it's on an angle and there are times things aren't as visible as they could be. The angle also wasn't the best imo and this video is definitely obscured. However: James Snyder 😍. I was waiting for him to break out into sing, but he didn't. he still gave a stellar performance and I absolutely loved him during the Polyjuice potion bit. I would certainly do my best to see this show on Broadway if James comes back.

WILLOW'S TEA: Rachel's Broadway debut show! Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect with this but I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. It's shot well and the sound is great. my favourite part is by far when Rachel's solo gets the strongest applause after some lackluster applauding. it definitely deserved a longer Broadway run, though it doesn't feel like something that was new or inventive. It did feel a bit like things I've seen before in some aspect or another.

WILLOW’S TEA: I’m a bit biased to this staging because I was it live when it came near me. It’s very well captured, and the colours are very good. Extremely steady, best Phantom capture I’ve seen so far. I love how they did Masquerade ion this one particularly. I starkly remember sitting in the audience and thinking about how clever the choreography was.

WILLOW'S TEA: Close-ups are gorgeous, but the wide shots, while interesting, are hard to look at. Very interesting to see the full stage as not shown in many boots. A shame it does not have "Woman", by far one of my favourite songs from this play. The choreography is of course amazing though there are some questionable angles/cuts during some of the fighting scenes. While this would not win cinematography awards, it is very solid and the audio is amazing. Has a great shot of the amazing curtain. While most shots don't appear to have an audience, and the audience can be heard though it is not overpowering.

The phone was in my jacket pocket so I couldn’t see anything and I was scared of getting caught, so a lot is very zoomed and I’m really sorry about that. I absolutely loved the set, it was reimagined into a more modern almost gangster like setting. Shot in 4k on my phone.

WILLOW'S TEA: Highlights are quite bad. It's easy to mistake them as not being 4K. They're high definition fuzz. The audio is good though. A bit nauseating to watch as they were filmed vertically but they're not vertical.

NOTES: Fantastic performances from the entire original cast. Jessie’s voice fits beautifully with the score, and she gives a gut-wrenching performance of She Used to Be Mine. Drew, Kimiko, Keala, and Christopher are each hilarious and endearing. Nicely captured with just a few quick dropouts and no major blackouts. There is one head on the left that can occasionally be seen, but it never blocks the action. There is some slight washout in some of the wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

The colors are absolutely vivid and I was trying new stabilization settings on my camera and god I'm gonna keep it this way. Do not list this video with an exact date.

WILLOW'S TEA: Watched Waitress for the first time because of Shoshana. She killed it. I have a few issues with the story/characters, but over all this is a very well captured, very enjoyable musical. I wish there were a few wider shots in a few areas as I felt like there was a lot going on in behind that I did not get to see.

NOTES: Full show. Nice HD capture with one major blackout (15 seconds) in act one due to latecomers and some short blackouts because of the women in front of me (see below). Very steady filming with beautiful close-ups! The concert was supposed to be 1h each act, although it only was 45 minutes (90 minutes in total).
One little appeal about the concert or rather the audience from the balcony: It was sometimes really outrageously how some people of the audience behaved during the concert. People filming with bright phone displays, photos taken with flash light and talking (fangirling) about the songs. In act two the displays and photo flash was so bright that I thought it was a spotlight or something like that. I have never experience anything like this at a musical concert! It must have been very irritating for Willemijn as well (and artists in general) when singing/being on stage, I know other artists who would have stopped singing because of that. The greatest respect to WV for going on and doing "her thing".
Besides, the women in front of me thought it would be a nice idea to comment everything Willemijn did on stage with talking and sticking their heads together all the time. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO TALK DURING A SHOW? Well, it's "only" a concert, but it's so annoying. For everyone.
Sorry, I was feeling really mad about it. And I still do.

NOTES: Test recording, to try out a new filming method. Recorded during the first week of the shows run. Temporary show by Burgers Zoo and van Hoorne Entertainment, The show runs for ~20 minutes, the venue lighting was absolutely horrible, which causes most of the stage to be extremely overlighted, actors, puppets & facial expressions can still be seen very clearly. Audio is very good, a baby can be heard crying in the background now and then for the first 8 minutes, about 4 blackouts, all on purpose, as I didn’t want to film the people leaving the auditorium. Overall a very watchable video.
