Cast: Jonathan Dagenais (Conductor), Deirdre Kellerman (Choral Conductor), Carmen Harris (Vocalist), Ottawa Pops Orchestra
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Act I features three orchestral movements from Johan De Meijorch's 1988 Symphony No. 1 "The Lord of the Rings" including "Gandalf", "Lothlórien", and "Hobbits". Act II is a shortened version of the orchestral concert of the movie music. Surprisingly, I preferred Act I; highly recommend any fans check out the entire symphony!

Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Very clear. Includes speech at the beginning. Set was UH-mazing. They had two train cars that moved in and out of the wings. Some chatter/gasping when that happens for the first time. I don't know how they fit that, the backstage must be unusually large.

Orpheus and the Underworld - National Estonian Opera - May 12, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)

Venue: National Estonian Opera
Format: MP3 (untracked) [307MB]

Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Very orchestra-heavy. Our subtitle screen broke so I have no clue what happened in act 2 other than at the end Eurydice came down in a giant black disco ball the height of the stage, Orpheus showed up for 5 minutes, dances with Pluto and Jupiter, then everyone did the can-can. *In Estonian.

Notes: Act 2 only. Back-up failed for Act 1 unfortunately and I am deeply sad about this. Recorded on an external audio recorder. Montreal audiences had NO idea what to expect from this show. Lots of audibly shocked reactions when Jenna kisses her gyno and at other various points throughout the show. Very reactive crowd overall. Applause after "She Used to Be Mine" lasted about a minute. Not sure which girl was playing Lulu. *In French.

Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. It was kept in my bag, so it is a bit muffled. There is a lot of rustling near the end as my wallet got stuck. What the F*ck getting rearranged for three people was hilarious. Cast told some stories I've never heard before!!

Notes: Used a photo camera to film this. We were allowed to film but since I didn't personally know anyone, and I wanted to practice, I decided to "hide" my camera. About 30min from the start of Act 2 to the end of "There! Right There!". Someone in my row left after that number and the lens got covered. There's a small break as my camera only films in 25-min installments. Goes in and out of focus at times. Severely blocked by heads. Sound's pretty good, used camera audio.
