I had a class schedule that was very anti-theatre, unfortunately. Missed a lot of good local musical productions. I'm not 100% sure why i recorded the choir and orchestra shows because usually I don't if they're not pop culture or Broadway themed but if you want me to keep recording and releasing this stuff when I go, let me know and I will.
All recordings are not for (re)sale and should never be listed on Encora.
AUDIO:
University of North Florida Singers - Northern Europe Tour - May 13, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Venue: Tallinna Toomkirik / Tallinn Dome Church
Format: MP3 (untracked) [226MB]
Cast: University of North Florida Signers, Segakoor Tulesӓde (Host), Kristin Pintson (Conductor), Dr. Cara Tasher (Conductor)
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Audio is a bit quiet and echo-y due to the venue being a church when there's talking, but the choir and orchestra sound ethereal. Starts off with a prayer. This was free which was fun because we got to see the Coat of Arms collection without paying. Lots of fun, give it a listen if you want a good time! Includes Finnish, English, and Estonian choir/folk songs.
Destinations - Lakeshore Chamber Orchestra (51st Season) - June 1, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's Master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Format: MP3 (untracked) [167MB]
Cast: Lakeshore Chamber Orchestra, Stewart Grant (Music Director and Conductor)
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Includes Selections from "Il Barbiere di Siviglia", "Doncaster: La riviere et la randonnée", and "Symphonie no 9 Dvorak". Bilingual (English/French) talking. Orchestra sounds good, talking is muffled. Kept the recorder in my bag the entire time due to the venue. Not 100% sure why I recorded this but here's some preserved orchestra for those who like it. If you want me to record more of these when I go, let me know since I usually don't.
Where You Are - Montérégie, Quebec - July 13, 2024 (Matinee) (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Format: MP3 (untracked) [140MB]
Cast: Matthew Fletcher (Patrick), Nadia Verrucci (Glenda), Jane Wheeler (Suzanne), Jenna Wheeler-Hughes (Beth)
Notes: Phone audio. Act 1 and a few minutes of act 2, not 100% sure how the recording stopped. Very unfortune. This play feels a bit like a Hallmark movie, but in a good way. Can't get over the set (I included pics). Tiny stage and they used every single inch.
Twelfth Night (Shakespeare) - Shakespeare by the Lake - August 25, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Format: MP3 (untracked) [302MB]
Cast: Ash Samson (Antiono), Bill Fletcher (Duke Orsino), David Fisher (Sir Toby Belch), McKenna Hayden (Officer), Samantha Cicchino (Viola), Louis Friedland-Yust (Valentine), Fiona Chandler (Olivia), Gabriel Grenier-McDermott (Curio/Piest), Genevieve Grenier (Fabian), Simon Cote (Feste/Sea Captain), Steve Walters (Malvolio), Jean-Frederic Samson (Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Jennifer Wade (Maria), Konstantine Malakos (Sebastian)
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. Outdoor venue. No wind, leaps and bound better than the MacBeth recordings from a few years ago. Some rustling from swapping seats with friends and dropping the recorder. Kids can be heard enjoying the park. Show is a fundraising event but does include professional actors.
Come From Away - National Arts Centre - August 28, 2024 (Matinee) (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Venue: Babs Asper Theatre
Format: MP3 (tracked & untracked) [676MB]
Cast: Kyle Brown (Bob and Others), Saccha Dennis (Hannah and Others), Steffi DiDomenicantonio (Janice and Others), Barbara Fulton (Diane and Others), Lisa Horner (Beulah and Others), James Kall (Nick/Doug and Others), Jeff Madden (Kevin T./Garth and others), Ali Momen (Kevin J./Ali and Others), Cory O'Brien (Oz and Others)
Notes: Recorded on my (new!) external audio recorder. Absolutely flawless audio of the show. This theatre is so perfect for CFA, being tiny. Sounds like I was ON the stage. Way better than my tour recording, thought that's more due to the venue.
Big Broadway with Norm Lewis - National Arts Centre - October 5, 2024 (Closing Night) (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Venue: Salle Southam Hall
Format: MP3 (tracked & untracked) [496MB]
Cast: Norm Lewis (Performer), Jack Everly (Conductor), Manon St-Jules (Co-Host), NAC Orchestra
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder, however, the theatre is not friendly to any sort of audio recording. This one is one of the better recordings from this venue. Includes songs from Les Mis, Phantom, The Music Man, Porgy and Bess, Funny Girl, Shuffle Along, Once Upon this Island, The Little Mermaid, and others. I love hearing the full orchestra play Phantom! Norm was amazing with the crowd. Might be some tracking mistakes, I tried my best.
Songs for a New World - Elevator Theatre Company - November 24, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Venue: LIVE! on Elgin
Format: MP3 (untracked) [205MB]
Cast: Charlotte Thompson, Clarissa Fortin, Emma MacEachern, Maggie Wolfe, Andrea Cartas, Daniella Bell
Notes: Recorded on an external audio recorder. All women production of SFANW! Very talented cast. I gave up trying to track this. Hopefully I did not cut out one of the songs, they had 2 intermissions and played some music during them so it was a bit hard to tell what was what (this is a venue that serves food).
Cinderella (Panto/Sheriden) - Annual Holiday Pantomime (QC, Canada) - December, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master until May 2, 2025
Format: MP3 (untracked) [234MB]
Cast: They triple cast this I have NO clue.
Notes: Songs sound a bit better than they did last year. They're working out this issues with this new format. Phone audio. Lots of kids and grandparents being loud obviously as it's encouraged. Show written by John Sheriden.
VIDEO:
Idina Menzel: Take Me or Leave Me Tour - Massey Hall, Toronto, ON - August 13, 2024 (FaceInTheMirror's master)
NFT: Except through master
Format: MTS (HD) & MP4 (HD) + MP3 (untracked) [4.05GB]
Cast: Idina Menzel
Notes: 20min of video from the first part of the concert taken on a 2010 digital camera that met the venue rules for cameras, plus a phone video of Defying Gravity. Unfortunately, when Idina sat down I could not see her at all due to the stage set-up. Then the camera died. Also includes audio recording from an external recorder of the VIP Soundcheck and Q&A period and the last hour (almost to the second) of the show as I completely forgot to turn it on at the start.
